GARLIC AND BASIL BARBEQUED SHRIMP
PREP TIME: 25 MINUTES
COOK TIME: 20 MINUTES
MAKES: 6 SKEWERS
6 wooden skewers, soaked in water 20 minutes prior to grilling
1½ lbs large raw shrimp, peeled and de-veined
4 T butter
4 garlic cloves, peeled and minced
2 cups basil, minced
¼ cup fresh lemon juice
1. Add butter and garlic to a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat until garlic is starts to turn golden. Remove from heat and stir in basil and lemon juice.
2. Preheat grill. Place shrimp on wooden skewers.
3. Brush one side with garlic-basil butter, and place butter side down onto the grill. Butter the other side of the shrimp. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flip over and cook an additional 8-10 minutes, or until done.
Soak wooden skewers in water 20 minutes prior to grilling.
Gather ingredients.
Add 4 T butter to a small saucepan. Add 4 peeled and minced garlic cloves.
Cook over medium heat until garlic starts to turn golden. Remove from heat and stir in 2 cups of minced basil leaves.
Stir in ¼ cup fresh lemon juice.
Preheat grill. Place 1½ lbs of peeled and de-veined large raw shrimp onto 6 wooden skewers.
Brush one side of shrimp with garlic-basil butter.
Place buttered side down on preheated grill.
Butter the other side of the shrimp and cook for 8-10 minutes.
Flip skewers over and cook for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until shrimp is fully cooked.
