Pomergrantes!!!! I found a numbered print one day at a flea market and I have loved it ever since! Rich pomegranate colored loveseat in the conversation area with “Tuscany yellow” walls. Pillows on the couch that look like the inside of a pomegranate It would be inviting.

I love raspberries! So I guess my theme would have to be mainly the color red!

  4. Laura Leigh says:

I really can’t stand the thought of decorating the ENTIRE house in one theme. The kitchen is a good place for food-themed decorations. I like lemons for color (and the smell of a lemon tree flowering is marvelous). I like using cherries in my craft pictures because cherries and berries look good being plucked off of trees and bushes by all kinds of birds.

If I had to choose a fruit or vegetable to utilize as a theme for my entire house I would have to use rainbow chard. With its brilliant rainbow hues that vary from bright gold, to a deep red-fuchsia, and a rich green, the décor possibilities would be endless. I feel as if colors bring to the surface the soul of a home and invite guests in with an amazing warmth.

  7. Patti Huggins says:

While I am not sure that I would decorate my whole house with a fruit theme; I would certainly accent certain rooms with fruit…………Since I use lots of lemons – in my tea (that I drink constantly throughout the day) and in cooking (I love to use lemon juice with brussel sprouts); I can see using lemons to accent my kitchen or sun room.

Strawberries as i would love to pick wild berries as a child for jam with my mother, a tradition i continued with daughter. Lemons as we had a lemon tree in our yard in HI and i loved both the fresh fruit as well as the leaves. Pears … there is something soothing about a pear, plus i am shaped like one! 🙂

  19. Sheri Puls says:

I think I would choose cherries. I found some cute vintage glasses several years ago with cherries on them, and also have a set of metal dishes with cherries around the rim, so why not expand the cherries theme to the test of the house? Red is a very cheerful color, too.

Funny (true) story: When I had my kidney stone, my urologist told me that some of the acids in lemons prevent kidney stones from forming. I found out I LOVE them and haven’t found anything they don’t go with. They’re such a bright, cheery color too. I’d pick lemons to decorate with. And I think I’ll start a couple of the projects in this magazine to liven up my décor.

Thank you for a chance to win such a pretty piece!

  29. Amelia Keel says:

I was attracted to this issue because I have long been collecting lemon decor for my kitchen and breakfast room. I got started after visiting Sorrento and Capri, Italy, which are famous for their lemons the size of grapefruit. The delicious sweet lemons and the refreshing color of the fruit seemed to make everyone there so happy, and I couldn’t help but feel the same way, which inspired me to bring some of their lemon dishes and tiles home. And it worked! My kitchen is a happy place.

  30. Robin says:

  31. Briana Della Bitta says:

I would choose the lemon! Lemons are a huge part of our daily health routine. I juice lemons and add them to my water upon wakening to stimulate the liver and rid my body of toxins. Lemons are used in my soups, lemon zest in chicken dishes, lemon slices added to our water and tea! I also use lemon juice in the summer to add natural highlights to my hair, I even use it as part of a honey face mask I use for brightening. Lemons are pure sunshine and such a happy healing fruit!

  32. Debbie F. says:

  33. connie says:

    Love, love, love lemons.
Air Freshener, yellow dishtowels, crispness of the aroma, lemon pies, citrus aroma, I just love anything associated with lemons, even the tart puckery(if that’s a word) flavor. It’s just an all around clean vision. If you’re asking, no, I don’t live in a yellow house with yellow rooms and yellow furniture, but I do love lemons, their taste, and their color.
