I also really enjoy the tips on Simple Solutions. I feel like I’m sitting down and chatting with friends about great ideas they’ve picked up from their grandmothers, or gleamed from some interesting article they’ve read since the last time we were together.

  18. Sandi King says:

Mary Jane there are just so many in your magazine, it is hard to decide, but in this last issue I went straight to Collect It, Vintage Sewing Machines as the article on them in a previous issue encouraged me to look for them. While in a ReUse store I saw this treadle Singer sewing machine sitting there waiting for me – ME. I was there with my son and we were looking for things we needed to continue work on our home and I had already shown him the article on Vintage Sewing Machines. I was in our van but we bought the machine and put it in the back after we lowered the back seat. And there she rode all the way home. I love her. She was in a very good condition but needed the belt which I purchased thanks to your Magazine and the blogs online. The lemon wreath is very colorful, a breath of spring. I think it would brighten up a kitchen very nicely. Maybe we could find a way to make one for those of us who don’t win. Thanks for a great magazine. I ordered a subscription for my sister-in-law and she told me she loves it.

We live in a very rural area near Kings Canyon/Sequoia Park and love nature and natural foods and garmets.

It’s everything. I love the crafting and sewing ideas, the recipes. After reading an article in your magazine about bees, (3 years ago), I ordered my information and started caring and raising honey bees. Last fall we harvested 75 lbs. of honey. I have recently been convicted of my need to be a good steward of the small piece of land we have and the animals we care for. When I read the articles in the magazine I feel that same belief from the folks that put this magazine together. Thank you.

I’ll be 52 Easter Sunday & still willing to try anything at least once! You bring something NEW to every craft, recipe or project in every issue.
