If you aren’t one now, you probably were one, back in your teenage days. A clinomaniac, I mean. I’d wager there’s one in every house … if you don’t know who it is, crack open those peepers and move the covers off your face; it’s probably you.

Is clinomania a thing due to the actual sleeping part of being in bed, or is it the comfort of a nice mattress, the softness of your favorite quilt, the easy access to your nightstand TBR pile of novels, or because it’s where you get some high quality snuggling?

Who knows?

Best sleep on it.

If I had a bed like the one in the picture, I’d never get up, either! Except to replenish my coffee and books, of course….

I have a princess and the pea bed, 2 mattreses and 2 feather beds over them! Plus in winter i have thick fleece sheets (much better than flannel ) aptly named “Cashmina” .Way too comfortable to get out of bed ! Adndmy dear kitties Earl and BB King, snuggle up with me.Yep, I suffer from clinomania in wintertime.

  3. Krista says:

There are definitely a lot of days that I feel clinomania and I’m pretty sure it’s because I have a huge love for my blankets and the comfort I feel from being in my bed. I’m glad there is a word for my love of staying in bed and I think it’s perfectly normal to feel that way!
