Looks kinda funny but it works! After a few towels have been used this way, they all go into the washer. I think it’s much healthier than a mop.

Any protein based stain like puppy accidents, blood, any bodily fluid soak up as much of the stain with a clean white cloth then add hydrogen peroxide. You will see the stain start disappearing. 27. Judy Habbeshaw says:

My favorite cleaning trick is to “short cut” cleaning. I place paper towels on my upper cabinets that don’t reach the ceilings. Because I like to cook a lot it gets pretty dirty up there and I first take down the dirty paper towels and then take my favorite degreaser to clean up the final smaller amount that is left. It sure makes cleaning up there a lot easier.

I clean using the “old” stand-bys…vinegar, baking soda & water…they do the job I want without too much effort…the secret is to stay ahead of the dirt & grime…I have had to use harsher cleaners on my hard water spots that accumulated on the glass doors of my shower…but now it is back to keeping ahead of the build-up with the more “natural” approach.

  38. Jan Grippo says:

Just yesterday, I used mayonnaise to get a wet spot stain off my oak table. I had left a planter on the table, with a couple of paper towels. I “thought” the towels would contain any moisture from the plant. Uh….no, they trapped the moisture on the table. I was horrified when I saw it. My favorite cleaning tool is the sponge with the soap dispenser handle and I just go at it; scrubbing and soaping everything up. It is so, so easy and fun to clean that way. I use whatever liquid soap I have but, lately I have been using Mrs. Meyer’s soaps for the wonderful smells. The Lemon Verbena reminds me of my Grandma’s house since she had the beautiful plants right outside her kitchen door.
