A place where I was dependent on communicating with only my hands and facial expressions instead of\u00a0words \u2026 or texting, or e-mail, or Facebook, or blogging?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image wp-image-12548\" title=\"gratitude-smiles-0282\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/gratitude-smiles-0282.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"270\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image wp-image-12551\" title=\"gratitude-smiles-0284\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/gratitude-smiles-02841.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"270\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It is good to be reminded of the simplest forms of communication.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image wp-image-12549\" title=\"gratitude-smiles-0167\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/gratitude-smiles-0167.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"304\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image wp-image-12552\" title=\"gratitude-smiles-0312\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/gratitude-smiles-0312.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I am grateful to remember today that a smile can say everything you need to say. And if you aren\u2019t face-to-face, a smile can still be heard. If you don&#8217;t believe me, test it by recording your voicemail without a smile, then again, with one. You can hear the difference.
