It\u2019s April and things are finally starting to feel like spring around here.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s like everything (and everyone) took a giant exhale and then relaxed.<\/p>\n

Now it\u2019s time for Mother Nature to get fancy. Flowers blooming, birds singing, little buds of green shooting up\u00a0everywhere.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s nice.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no better time than April to celebrate nature and all it gives us\u2014naturally. And if you love gardening as much as I do, you\u2019ll be happy to know that April is National Garden Month.<\/p>\n

According to the National Gardening Association (NGA), studies have shown that gardening is good for us.<\/p>\n

Okay, yeah! Of course it is.<\/p>\n

We don\u2019t need research and statistics to tell us that, do we girls?!<\/p>\n

We already know the miraculous things that gardening gives. And I’m not talking veggies.<\/p>\n

We already know that when we nurture nature, we nurture ourselves.<\/p>\n

So, celebrate April, garden gals. Whether you have acres of crops, a few flowerbeds, or a colorful container on your fire escape, be grateful for your garden.<\/p>\n

The NGA website has a list of 101 ways you can celebrate Garden Month\u2014including detailed instructions on how to make your own plant-based dyes,\u00a0how to organize a garden poetry circle, or a plant swap for friends and neighbors.<\/p>\n
