\u201cI\u2019m sure, MJ,\u201d she replied, all soft-voiced and smitten, her eyes sparkling with more romance than a Harlequin novel. \u201cI love him more than I love ALL my pairs of shoes. More than my strawberry lip gloss. More than Justin Bieber. More than my cell phone, MJ\u2014my. cell. phone<\/em>!\u201d<\/p>\n Wow. This is serious.<\/p>\n \u201cIt must be kismet, then,\u201d I told her.<\/p>\n \u201cOh yes, I\u2019d like him to kiss me very much!\u201d She nearly fell off her stilettos.<\/p>\n \u201cNo, Jane, kismet. You pronounce it, kizz – met. It\u2019s a word that means destiny or fate. Like, you two were meant to find each other.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cOhh, we sooo<\/em> were,\u201d she crooned. \u201cIt\u2019s totally fate! Like that time I found a vintage pink Chanel jacket in my size<\/em> at that thrift shop!\u201d<\/p>\n But then her smile faded. \u201cWhat\u2019s wrong?\u201d I asked.<\/p>\n \u201cWell, that\u2019s a cool word and everything, MJ. And I like to learn new words, but \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cBut what, Jane??\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWell, do you think he\u2019ll still kiss me?!?\u201d<\/p>\n I told her she should probably prepare her pucker because I am pretty positive he will, especially if those sweet nothings I hear him telling her are any indication.<\/p>\n All she has to do is squeeze his muscular, manly hand and he\u2019s all wonderful …<\/p>\n \u201cDid you have a hard day, honey? Why don\u2019t you sit down and let me rub your feet?\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYou\u2019ve been on my mind all day, that\u2019s why I bought you these flowers.\u201d<\/p>\n Uh huh, sure, I thought. I\u2019m skeptical, but still listening \u2026<\/p>\n \u201cThe ballgame really isn\u2019t that important. I\u2019d rather spend time with you.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYou know, honey, why don\u2019t you just relax and let me make dinner tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n This guy\u2019s pretty good, I thought. And then he said something that almost had me falling for him, too. The phrase never (ever<\/em>) before heard from a man:<\/p>\n \u201cActually, I\u2019m not sure which way to go. Why don\u2019t we stop here and ask for directions?\u201d<\/p>\n Dang! He really IS Mr. Wonderful!<\/p>\n Here\u2019s the word to remember, girls.
