{"id":18092,"date":"2012-07-16T00:08:33","date_gmt":"2012-07-16T07:08:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/?p=18092"},"modified":"2012-07-16T00:08:33","modified_gmt":"2012-07-16T07:08:33","slug":"seeing-double","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/18092","title":{"rendered":"seeing double"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\">I knew that just as soon as our baby chicks were delivered to the farm this year, I would take my two little girls to the chicken coop and snap some photos of another generation of buttery-cute farmgirls just like the one of their Nanny Jane (as a surprise gift) &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"Little-MJ-Chicks\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/Little-MJ-Chicks.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"560\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">What I didn\u2019t take into account was that delivery time would fall right smack in the middle of our busiest B&amp;B week. So we\u00a0had only one attempt at it before the chicks grew too big. We did get one photo, and my youngest is smiling just as sweet as her Nanny Jane did some 56 years ago &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image wp-image-18210\" title=\"mia_with_border1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/07\/mia_with_border1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"367\" height=\"618\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The hardest part was trying to get her to leave\u2014she\u00a0wanted to move in with our fluffy little chicks. And Nanny Jane was completely surprised that we\u2019d done it.
