idiomatic expressions<\/strong> that are<\/p>\n

in your face. <\/em>However, one<\/p>\n

mustn’t let sleeping dogs lie<\/em> (or tired puppies cry<\/em>)<\/p>\n

or<\/p>\n

persistently beat a dead horse<\/em>.<\/p>\n

(Idiomatic expressions are common phrases or sayings whose meanings cannot be understood by the individual words or elements such as cold war<\/em> and the obvious funny farm<\/em>.)<\/p>\n

And never, ever look a gift horse in the mout<\/em>h.<\/p>\n

Reptiles? Yikes. I bought these in a 2nd hand store some 30 years ago. Fortunately, most\u00a0“reptile”\u00a0boots sold these days aren’t the real deal. Amazingly, when my daughter and I were in NYC several years ago, I found a\u00a0cream-colored faux reptile skirt in Filene’s Basement (cheap designer bargains) that matches these handsome devils perfectly. But where on earth does one WEAR such an outfit?<\/p>\n

I did in fact decide to wear\u00a0it once on the occasion of our wedding anniversary.<\/p>\n

When I walked out, hubby bubby BUBBA\u00a0said, “Oh.”<\/p>\n
