I can always come up with\u00a0reasons to <em>go<\/em> thrifting. This year, I\u2019m celebrating the day in a different fashion.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Summer is coming to a close, and\u00a0there are quite a few things\u00a0in the summer-wear section of my closet that never saw the light of day.\u00a0So, no more excuses. This isn&#8217;t the usual time of year to &#8220;spring clean,&#8221; but if I <em>share<\/em> them now, they can\u00a0be enjoyed by someone else while it&#8217;s still summer. Rather than let them continue to beg from my closet, I\u2019m going to put them up for adoption. Have you noticed how hard this can be? It seems like when you have them in hand, you get second thoughts. My rule? If I didn&#8217;t wear it this summer, gone.<\/p>\n<p>So here\u2019s to thrifting!\u00a0 And maybe, when I drop my pile off, I\u2019ll glance at the fall stuff, just in case I need anything \u2026\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>National Thrift Shop Day is just around the corner, August 17.
