With my Jersey milk cow herd growing exponentially every year, my little saplings were getting a little beat up, bruised, and nibbled on. Too big to move now, we had to come up with another solution. Ta da! Farmhands Kim and Andy to the rescue.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image wp-image-24635\" title=\"walnut_trees-9614\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/10\/walnut_trees-9614.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"343\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Sinking and fine-tuning posts to partition off these little lovelies wasn&#8217;t easy work. Going on 80 days now without rain, the ground was as hard as concrete. Stay tuned for some sort of wondrous walnut desserty thing. My DIL and I are brainstorming.
