I have read\u00a0<em>The Man Who Listens to Horses<\/em> and\u00a0<em>Shy Boy<\/em> by Monty Roberts. I found a lot of similarities between all three books and the authors, although I did learn a lot from <em>The Soul of a Horse<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>I still have a lot to learn\u00a0however I felt validated with regards\u00a0to how I treat my horses and know I need to continue to practice and learn and research.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica; font-size: small;\">Below are Cutter and Shania, our horses. Cutter is an Arabian gelding and Shania is a half Arabian half Quarter Horse mare. We just bought another one, Maximus, who is a Palomino Quarter horse gelding.<br \/>\nI like the Arabian but find that he is a lot more prone to worms and his skin is thinner (like most Arabians). He is not an easy keeper. I like the fact that the Arabians are an endurance animal and have spirit and get up and go. Arabians are smart! They originate from the desert in Arabia and are amazing animals. Cutter is super level, where Shania, when you are on the ground, can dance around a bit. But once you are on, you couldn\u2019t ride a better horse.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image wp-image-30476\" title=\"April 2012 003edit\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/April-2012-003edit.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"265\" \/><br \/>\n<\/span>\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome New Sisters!
