This old-fashioned kitchenista may just save the planet\u2014one slice at a time.<\/p>\n<p>So, back to our question:<\/p>\n<p>How does Christine suggest we pay homage on National Pie Day?<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;What a perfect excuse to snub our nose at ol&#8217; man winter,&#8221; she cheers. &#8220;Gather somewhere cozy, and bake, share, eat, or just dream about pie!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A few of her favorite ideas for celebrating include:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Bake a pie.<\/li>\n<li>Sing along with the<a href=\"http:\/\/blogspot.us5.list-manage1.com\/track\/click?u=9416d2168613f0aa8e604c604&amp;id=e9b81e2e2d&amp;e=ca3923470f\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> &#8220;Pie Song&#8221; from <em>Family Guy<\/em><\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Make a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lifeslittlemysteries.com\/1200-favorite-pie-america.html\">pie chart<\/a> mapping your favorite pies.<\/li>\n<li>Watch<em>\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sweetlandmovie.com\/\"><em>Sweet Land<\/em><\/a>\u2014it has a pie sharing scene that will make you smile.<\/li>\n<li>Hand out slices of pie.<\/li>\n<li>Host a pie swap.<\/li>\n<li>And, if nothing else, patronize a local pie shop.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Of course, if you&#8217;re in Minneapolis on January 23, join Christine for a special Pie Day dinner\u00a0at the Grand Caf\u00e9 (tickets and info<a href=\"http:\/\/blogspot.us5.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=9416d2168613f0aa8e604c604&amp;id=184328a64c&amp;e=ca3923470f\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> here<\/a>).
