With temperatures at zero and the windchill factor scheduled to be in the negative twenties, we&#8217;re all noticing where the cold is creeping in. Hubby is home installing that storm door we&#8217;ve been meaning to get to all fall and my dad is out hanging plywood to the milking parlor and hay barn.\u00a0Our animal shelters were built with their openings facing east because our winds always come from the west, but the winds are coming cold and fast from the east like they never do \u2026 go figure.<\/p>\n<p>And me, well, I&#8217;m also finding ways to avoid the chill. Christmas shopping. For cold weather attire none-the-less, and\u00a0perfect for any farmgirl &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image wp-image-46218\" alt=\"_RDS5748etsyedit__20869.1380172143.1280.1280\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/RDS5748etsyedit__20869.1380172143.1280.1280-e1386379907864.jpg\" width=\"360\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Handmade, cozy leg warmers. Love them! And it&#8217;s a beautiful story. Owner of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.graceandlace.com\">Grace and Lace<\/a>, Melissa,\u00a0was moved by the loss of her\u00a0infant daughter\u00a0to get busy with her hands, thus evolved a line of hand-knit items for sale. I can think of a few farmgirls I know that need a pair of these. Precious!
