It might just sum up our days at the farm with Nanny Jane and her cows.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image aligncenter size-full wp-image-49420\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Photo-May-11-3-11-16-PM-e1400012822680.jpg\" alt=\"Photo May 11, 3 11 16 PM\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As an adjective, it&#8217;s used for or related to the keeping or grazing of sheep or cattle.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image aligncenter size-full wp-image-49421\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Photo-May-11-3-20-15-PM-e1400013187942.jpg\" alt=\"Photo May 11, 3 20 15 PM\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Little Beaumont was curious about the wheat grass we brought. The sound of a bucket\u00a0brings the cows. They always come running\u00a0when a bucket clangs.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image aligncenter size-full wp-image-49423\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Photo-May-11-3-29-09-PM-e1400013325359.jpg\" alt=\"Photo May 11, 3 29 09 PM\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Miss Daisy was happy to stop and graze\u00a0in one place while we gave her some love. But we think the noun definition of pastoral describes our days at the farm even more perfectly. Pastoral is a work of literature portraying an idealized version of country life.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image aligncenter size-full wp-image-49422\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/Photo-May-11-3-30-20-PM-e1400013297353.jpg\" alt=\"Photo May 11, 3 30 20 PM\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Miss Daisy, who gave birth to her first calf, Beaumont,\u00a0almost three weeks ago,\u00a0stayed with us for almost an hour while we brushed and petted her. Her eye lids\u00a0closed and her head got lower and lower like she was sleeping standing up. Eventually she started swaying back and forth as we brushed and loved her with our little hands.
