This might boggle some of your minds to say the least, but it has been a way of life out here! After getting up to speed with indoor plumbing, (you must read my post, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/279\">The Queen&#8217;s Throne<\/a>) and moving into our new and spacious <a href=\"http:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/619\">Design Studio<\/a>, we have been dealing with, um, a few plug-ups that we thought were the result of an over-zealous toilet paper user. Boy, were we wrong! After finally hiring someone to come out and assess the p-issue, THIS is what\u00a0popped out of our pipes!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image wp-image-5537\" title=\"concrete-8833\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/concrete-8833.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"240\" \/><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Our brave hero, Nick (hubby), battled the pipes for a day, before pulling out with this sizable piece of &#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">CONCRETE that was stuck deep inside\u00a0a 4-inch sewer pipe!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image wp-image-5538\" title=\"concrete-8836\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/concrete-8836.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"452\" \/>Apparently, when pouring concrete in the area where the pipes were located, the seal to keep out the wet concrete didn&#8217;t hold.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image wp-image-5539\" title=\"concrete-8837\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/concrete-8837.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"240\" \/>Somebody call Houston.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Warning: Proceed only if you are comfortable with what goes on beneath toilet floors.
