{"id":63297,"date":"2016-12-29T00:09:28","date_gmt":"2016-12-29T08:09:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/?p=63297"},"modified":"2016-12-29T00:09:28","modified_gmt":"2016-12-29T08:09:28","slug":"celebrating-sophia-with-a-winter-shower","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/63297","title":{"rendered":"Celebrating Sophia with a Winter Shower"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\tIn our &#8220;Stitchin&#8217; Post&#8221;\u00a0Oct\/Nov 2016 issue of <a href=\"http:\/\/shop.maryjanesfarm.org\/Magazine\">MaryJanesFarm<\/a>, I demonstrated how to carve carve an old window using a dremel by engraving the name &#8220;Sophia Grace&#8221; for my dear friend&#8217;s new baby.<\/p>\n<p>So, a couple of weekends ago, we finally got around to a formal celebration of this sweet little addition in our lives.<\/p>\n<p>Here are\u00a0a few snippets from the weekend.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-63301\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Photo-Dec-03-4-07-00-PM.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t have the juices, San Pellegrino, and champagne loaded in the white bucket yet in the above photo, but do try a San Pellegrino, pear juice, and fresh thyme sprig for your winter festivities. Delicious!<\/p>\n<p>And anything and everything ought to be garnished in baby&#8217;s breath and tree trimmings, don&#8217;t youu think? The centerpiece garland is actually from the base of our Christmas tree. Perfect.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-63304\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Photo-Dec-05-7-29-36-AM.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"500\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We went all white for our dessert table in honor of our little sweet pea. Three mamas did all the cooking!<\/p>\n<p>Here we are attempting to gracefully enjoy our Russian Teacakes while dressed in black.\u00a0I should have taken a picture of the pile of powdered sugar at our feet.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-63303\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/Photo-Dec-04-2-41-36-PM.jpg\" width=\"360\" height=\"360\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To the left is Sophia&#8217;s mama, Christin.
