I\u2019m betting it was more recently than you think.<\/p>\n<p>Like at the top of a mountain after a long hike, on a bed of clover. Or at the end of a work week that just felt like it would never end. Accountants experience it every April 16th, when tax season finally wraps up. Definitely, Santa Claus has his yoisho moments on each and every December 26th.<\/p>\n<p><em>Yoisho<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>(phr.) <\/em>A Japanese expression used when flopping onto a chair or bed or floor, usually after a hard day\u2019s work, combined with a grunt or loud exhale.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_65061\" style=\"width: 370px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-65061\" class=\"wp-image-65061\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/Claude_Bernou_Carte_de_lAmerique_septentrionale.jpg\" width=\"360\" height=\"481\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-65061\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo by unknown photographer via Wikimedia Commons.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>It\u2019s one of those nifty words that isn\u2019t easily translated into English, but apparently, some Google-translated documents and\/or books that have been translated into or from Japanese will translate our expression \u2018sheesh!\u2019 into \u2018yoisho!\u2019<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When was the last time you \u2018yoisho\u2019ed?
