Then, combine that with spiked eggnog and endless turkey \u2014 and all bets are on you&#8217;ll be nodding off when the pumpkin pie comes around. If you avoid the coma, well, odds are you&#8217;ll\u00a0be feeling &#8230; crapulent.<\/p>\n<p>crapulent (kr\u0101p&#8217;y\u0259-<em>luh<\/em>nt) adjective &#8211; sick from gross excess in drinking or eating<\/p>\n<p>excessive indulgence; intemperance<\/p>\n<p>crap\u00b7u\u00b7lence, (kr\u0101p&#8217;y\u0259-l\u0259ns) crap\u00b7u\u00b7len\u00b7cy, noun<\/p>\n<div><strong><em><\/em><\/strong>The origin of this word can be traced back to around 1650\u201360. Late Latin refers to being cr\u0101pulentus or drunk and in Greek kraip\u00e1l\u0113 meant drunkenness, or a hangover.
