I forgot I <a href=\"http:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/9956\">found a snowy owl <\/a>years before at our annual Halloween party.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"owl-mask\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/owl-mask.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"288\" height=\"433\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">How about an owl in the middle of the day in the middle of &#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&#8230; my garden?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" title=\"owl\" src=\"http:\/\/www.raisingjane.org\/journal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/01\/owl.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"288\" height=\"433\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Barred owl (Strix nebulosa) 17 &#8211; 24&#8243;, is a large, fluffy owl with dark eyes, dark horizontal bars on the upper breast with dark streaks below and pale spots on the back.<\/p>\n<p>Call is a rhythmic series of 8 loud hoots in 2 sets of 4 hoots. Sometimes sounds like barking. The barred owl can often sound crazed.
