If this week has found you in something of a February,
midwinter
slump,
get ready for a ray of sunshine …
It’s STILL Random Acts of Kindness Week! (Meg wrote about it yesterday.)
In other words, there’s still time to get out and make people smile
(which, as we all know, is a proven path to summoning our own smiles.)
Need a little inspiration to get started?
Well, here comes the boom …
or, rather, the Boom Boom.
As in boomerang—what comes around goes around—karma—that sort of thing.
Boom Boom! Cards are revolutionizing the way people can express kindness at any given moment.
How about …
NOW?
In four easy steps, Boom Boom! makes it entirely possible to start changing your world.
With preconceived intentional act of kindness kits, you’ll find yourself writing a letter to someone who has inspired you, picking up the trash on your street, giving genuine compliments, tipping a weary waitress with extra generosity … you know the drill.
The cards in the kit give you a task—all you have to do is follow through.
And, the coolest thing about Boom Boom! cards is that you can create a chain reaction of covert kindness that goes on, and on, and on …
Here’s what you do:
- Select the set of cards that suits you best, and then pick a card, any card.
- Do the good deed on the card.
- Share your act of kindness on boomboomcards.com (you can even upload pictures and video).
- Pass the card on to anyone (a family member, co-worker, stranger—your call).
Then, you can follow your card on the Boom Boom! website map as it moves across town, throughout the country, maybe even around the globe.
And there’s more …
When you register your deck on the website, you get to choose a charity for which you will “play” your cards, and Boom Boom! will donate 10 percent of profits to that charity.
Looking for something a little more … free?
Try an Everyday Boom Boom! Card. It’s a “virtual” card that you can do right on site. Just go to the home page and scroll down to a row of cards icons. The last one is red and says “Everyday Boom Boom!” Just click that card and share your act of kindness.

Meg was writing about this over the weekend and now these cards are the cutest way to launch the week! Thanks for sharing such a perfect idea!
Thank you so much for sharing this website! I just signed up, and I think I am going to get the all editions bundle, so that I can share it with others too! What a nifty idea!
In today’s crazy social media world, this is a much needed “good deed” done online!
So very cool!
Hugs,
Laurie
