From the Make-A-Wish Alaska & Washington Facebook page:

“Six-year-old Miette was born on the fourth of July and has been a firecracker ever since. Battling Ewing’s Sarcoma, a form of cancer, Miette’s wish is to renovate her family’s 1972 Airstream trailer so they can travel together as a family. Miette, who has always wanted to brew coffee with her dad, will enjoy a special ‘perk’ on her wish day!

Join us at Barracuda Coffee Company on June 2 from 3–5 p.m. to greet Miette from her grand entrance via a Corvette caravan at 3 p.m. Then, sip on a free latte brewed by Miette between 3 and 4:30 p.m. Finally, be there at 4:30 p.m. to see the look on Miette’s face when we reveal her newly renovated trailer!

Donuts courtesy of Spudnut Shop and live music will also be provided.”

This dream can’t happen without your help! If you are, or know someone who is, a carpenter, contractor, plumber, builder, or laborer that lives near the Tri-Cities, Washington, area who may be able to help, please call Susie at 509-392-1557.

The Make-A-Wish Alaska & Washington chapter is looking for volunteers who would be willing to help build countertops; install a tub, laminate flooring or cabinetry; and/or polish the outside of the Miette’s renovated trailer.

We have a Children’s Miracle Network at our medical center to help grant wishes to our oncology pediatric patients. They recently did a 24 hour dance-a-thon and raised several hundred thousand dollars. The UF students did an awesome job! I am sure Miette’s day will be a blast for her! And may her treatments help her beat this disease!
