the apprentice

In preparing for our bed & breakfast season, (we’ve been featured twice this year as one of the best places to: Unplug on Yahoo, and a destination for: Ultimate Relaxation on Smarter Travel), we’ve been thinking about a hospitality intern/apprentice to lend a hand this summer. What better place to go than …

one of the local universities? Washington State University is right across the border (8 miles away) and is home to a flourishing Hospitality Business Management program. Below is Kim, and our booth, at yesterday’s career fair. Our booth got more attention than anyone else’s (soooooooooo very different than the suits and ties and vinyl banners in the other booths), and we came home with lots of good prospects.

I would have visited your booth!!! It looks so inviting. I love those wonderful tablecloths!
I hope you find a perfect fit in an intern. Wish I was young and footloose and fancy free enough to be your intern! I love your bed and breakfast.

Come for a visit and we’ll pamper you silly! We chatted with a great selection of students and I am looking forward to working with them. We would have loved it if you’d visited our booth too!!
