team FARM

Okay, this is going to be a glimpse of glamour, farm glamour, but first I have to comment on your comments over on my Glamping Giveaway. When the comments started rolling in late Friday and early Saturday morning (more than we’d ever seen before) and then the stats on Amazon pushed my book almost into the top 100 books (165 to be exact/an author starts out at something like 250,000), I wanted to …

Yep, my days of my youth are long past also, however, I do still FEEL that young and my minds eye says I look that young and beautiful still ….. But, no, age has become my friend and I am happy right where I am! Your girls are just georgous … And it’s nice to see the faces behind the cameras. Keep up the good works!!

  2. Laurie Dimino says:

Gorgeous Gals! Love getting a glimpse behind the scenes!
Yes, I too must admit that I am a bit over the days of a photo shoot stretched across the hood of a vehicle, but as Daizy said- I still FEEL pretty young and wouldnt want to trade my age, or turn back the hands of time. I am happy and content right where I am.
    Hugs!

Only One

“It’s only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth – and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up, we will then begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it was the only one we had.”                                                               -Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

4th of July Farm Fair

Our 4th of July Farm Fairs are a magical experience, for my family and guests alike. They are an enormous amount of work, but the reward is a wonderful community experience—time to connect with new and old friends, take home plenty of fresh produce, and shop for a plethora of handmade treasures.

Our first Farm Fair took place in 2004, followed by two more in 2005 and 2006. We took a brief hiatus, then held another Farm Fair in 2009.

I chose one of my favorite holidays to celebrate rural life and Independence Day. Naturally, I thought a jaunt down memory lane was appropriate. So grab your red, white, and blue apron and let’s roll …

How wonderful! I wish that I could be there. But…I can dream and enjoy the journey. I will fall asleep tired from the dreaming.

  2. Winnie Nielsen says:

This looks like just a best farm day fair to enjoy on the fourth with the family. I love the diversity of things you offered and that homemade strawberry shortcake is beyond wonderful !! Just a day on the farm for some good old fashioned fun!

  3. Kathy S says:

Happy July 4th from north of the border!

We got a link on the MJF Connection last week about this and me and lots of others have cast our votes for our Queen Bee! It is such an honor that Mary Jane is up for the award and even if she does not win, we all know that her work and philanthropy has changed lives of many people in creative and meaningful ways! She IS the winner to me. I thank her for her work and outreach from the farm to the homes of so many women who are eating healthier, living greener, and reviving farmgirl skills and spirit for the 21st Century! We are all winners who have been uplifted by her efforts!!
