Ouch!
That’s me, wincing from the sting of rising gas prices. Shipping costs are a big part of my business. Have you seen the bumper sticker that says, “If you’ve got it, a trucker brought it?”
How can I raise the level of gratitude in my life? Let me count the ways.

Rebekah Teal, our City Farmgirl blogger, will soon be our City turned Country Farmgirl. She’s packing her bags …
Congratulations Rebekah! A dream come true! Lucky you!
Best wishes to you- looking foward to hearing all about your tree farm!
Hugs,
WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know you have been waiting a while for this. You will love it.
Well, isn’t this exciting news! I know you’re thrilled. My husband and I bought a 55 acre farm last year and have never worked so hard and enjoyed it so much! Best wishes and blessings on your new venture.
But where’s the recipe? =)
Congratulations Rebekah! Glad you finally got your farm. 🙂 Teri
OH huge congratulatoins to Rebekah 🙂 🙂 Yeah, it’s so cool to see a dream being realized 🙂 🙂 Now what will she be calling her blog column now? Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather 🙂
Yay! I am so happy for her!!! 🙂
People buying my organic quick-prep meals, in Mylar 15-year-shelf-life packaging, keep my food crew plenty busy. It’s monotonous work, but they never complain. I’d like to express my gratitude, no, make that GRATITUDE, for the excellent mistake-proof job they do, day in and day out, year after year.
Have you thanked a farmer today?
Where can one buy these? Thanks!
I just love this picture. I had my first attempt at making jam last year. It was Strawberry Freezer Jam. Turned out wonderful. I think I may try some other jam this year and maybe even canning. Thank you for the inspiration.
My mother and NannyJane took me in for what is technically my second haircut, but really my first adult haircut.
Beautiful hair!
Pretty, pretty, pretty hair!
Is this a piece together apron?
This looks like a good one and since it is my birthday I think I will have to try to make it. Thank you.
Oh wow, your photos are so inspiring…. they wake up creativity and warm the heart.
I want to introduce you to one of my sheroes, a lady whose legacy I think everyone should know …
Even though she didn’t bring peace to the world, she shared her anointed gift of personal peace among those she met and that is all any of us can do, realistically. What an inspiration. Be peace where right where you stand. Great reminder, thank you on this sunday morning.
What a beautiful legacy to leave behind! You really do have to admire those who “walk the talk”.
My little sister made this for Grandpa Nick to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. He hung it in his truck so he can see it every day. He says it’s easier to spot his truck now in parking lots. I hope there’s a pot of gold at the end of your rainbow today!
Sounds like Grandpa Nick is the pot of gold – what a guy!
This morning, as I was getting ready for my day with both girls running circles around me, I found myself daydreaming of my recent work trip to Guatemala (details coming soon) and had an interesting realization …
Oh Meg,
What a great topic, and so very true. I have a little sign on my desk at work that says “Attitude is everything….SMILE”. I am definately a person that believes in the power of a smile! Thank you for reminding us all, just how important it is to do just that each and every day.
Smiles and Hugs,
Laurie
Oh my dear friend, how true this is!!!! You realize the power of the human spirit when you can communicate with your eyes and a smile! I will never forget when I was hopelessly lost and two women on the streets of Krokow, Poland who taught me to read the rail system and pointed me in the right direction without saying a word I could understand! The only way I could show my graditude was a smile and a hug. A moment in time I will never forget.
Love Ya Megan!
Mary
In response to these crazy gas prices, I declared April as my very own “Ride my bike to work month”. It saves me at least 5 – 7 gallons per week! And my legs are in great shape, too 🙂
