Diddley Squat??

Here’s a fun word: Absquatulate

As in, “Her daddy had a shotgun because we all thought Hank would absquatulate before the wedding.”

Or, “I think you forgot to tie up your horse, pardner, because he seems to have absquatulated.”

Or, “The police caught those scoundrel bank robbers before they had a chance to absquatulate with all the money.”

  1. Shery says:

Well, I’d sure never heard THAT word before. If I’d had to guess the meaning…maybe not doing ‘squat’ :o) Now I have a more refined word to subsitute for scram, vamoose, split, skidaddle :o)

  2. Eileen Widman says:

I would like to “Absquatulate” to a warmer place today!

Ugsome

Walking back and forth between buildings here, one never knows what (or who) might come running straight at you—from chickens, to Rascal, a renegade cow or two, and these days …

LOVE THOSE HATS OH MY GOODNESS LOVE THE HATS

  2. Eileen Widman says:

Love the whole idea of taking my treddle sewing machine outside to sew!!! I will have to try it this summer when it is not raining in the rain capitol of the Olympics!
The Hats are so very pretty. I have a few amazing hats too that I wear on occasion and am always stopped when I wear them to be asked where I found such lovely hats. I have to grin and say I bought the hat at a thrift store and dressed it up in my sewing room. I always get amazed looks and WOWS! Who knew?

“Pardon me?” she puffed, plainly peeved.
