Only a few moments after her birth, and still wet, meet our new little Etta Jane. Mom, Maizy, and daughter, Etta Jane, are in fine shape. (We’re a little tired.) Born 2:45 a.m. today/43.5 lbs. Maizy’s first birth.
You know that pondering tilt of the head a person gives a work of art they’ve just completed? Writing about your life is that exactly. You step back, pick up your paint brush, apply a dab of compassion here, a brush stroke of flair over there. Putting your life on canvas allows you to see what your life looks like through the eyes of others.
Going Granny (actually my grandkids call me Nanny) is my best achievement yet! Here’s a phone message my barely two-year grandgirl left for me on my 58th b-day. I guarantee it; this will make your day.

Yesterday afternoon, around 4:45 p.m., as we were saying our routine goodbyes in the design studio, Ace looked out the window and said, “we should …
What a serene photo. And the words are exactly what I needed to read today. Thank you!
Breathtaking!
Beautiful and I love the quotation following the photo…thank you!!!!
Awe Struck, Inspiring Breathless and Gorgeous are a few words that come to mind looking at that view. Someone hurry up and grab my hankerchief…..I’m drooling all over my keyboard! Visiting your B&B is on my bucket list without a doubt- I promise myself I will get there before I turn 50!
Oh my, don’t you just love Betty White? At 90 years old, she’s still at work full time handing out smiles. Here she is being …
Eileen Widman my dear, here are the sweaters as promised from my sugar-n-cream photo-of-the-day.
Has anyone else seen this new brand of duct tape? I haven’t opened it yet but love the tag line.
I’m going to look for some of this stuff–maybe even in various colors. It’s getting close to time for winter sewing.
New material for the duct tape dress design contest!
never leaves residue behind, maybe now we can get out of our designer dresses without being sticky! Hahaha!
This is beautiful! How do I get a pattern?
My mistake! Your post on Facebook with this link said something about working with Sugar n Cream so I thought it was a project. I must have misinterpreted it.
I would love to have a pattern, it pretty. Looks kind of like granny square.
For the ladies who want the pattern you would have to look for several to get the items from this shot, the sugar and cream yarn is available tho at your local yarn shop and it is not the yarn used to make these lovely crocheted items in the shot. The sugar and cream yarn makes wonderful dish cloths for the kitchen. You may have to look in an old afghan book or two to find the patterns for these lovelys.
If the items in the photo are clothing, what are they? Dresses or? something else. I would love to see a photo of them being worn. They must be beautiful. Crochet wedding dress?
