If you’ve ever fantasized about throwing up your hands … don’t. They can be real page turners.

But really now.

If you’ve ever fantasized about throwing up your hands, leaving everything behind, and taking up painting in a seaside cottage, this read will have you glued to its pages. Welcome to Kate Chopin’s The Awakening.

Name That Partner!

Okay, grrrrls, who has a husband/significant other/life partner they adore but said pard-ner has more than one name? Here’s my dilemma.

Mine is a man of many talents, er, names. And if I’m going to do this here blog/journal thing, I can’t be all over the hunny bun map. Or can I? What do you think? This could be like, Where’s Waldo? or rather, What’s Nick?

How Does Your Garden Grow?

Chances are, being a garden-minded gal, you’ve read The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett at least once in your life. But maybe you haven’t, or maybe it has been too long since you let yourself get lost in the lush tendrils and vines of this timeless story. For some of my Geography Journal entries she’ll take you to each of those stops (and more), but today she begins with her business trip to Italy where her travels spanned from Milan to Rome … and from pizza to Puttanesca.

Take it from here. It’s all yours, Aly!!!!!

I Need a Cluck ‘N Cup of Coffee

When was the last time you drank a “Cluck ’N Cup” of coffee?  Does that mean you were enjoying it with a klatch of girlfriends? Did you have a cluckin’ good time? As my driver was delivering me to the Charlotte, NC airport a couple of months ago just before dawn, I spied this little shop. “Can you stop please? I NEED a photo of this!” He pulled over, I rolled down my window, and snatched a shot. Have any of you seen these shops in NC? What a fun place for sisters to meet up/catch up. What a cluckin’ great way to start your day. Here’s the skinny: cluckncup.getmyip.com/html.
