My son, Brian, is covered in angel kisses and blushes at the drop of a hat. Ugly spots? No way. When I was a youngster, I tried to…

Ahhh . . Mary Jane, love this post. I was soooooooooooooo honored to meet both Brian and Nick this past summer when Robin and I were able to come and stay at the B&B. I’m kinda partial to freckles since they “embellish” many in my family, including me.
Love the mugs too . . . tell Brian and Nick “HI” from me!

I would pretend it was for my husband..Michael Johnston 🙂
Fabulous post! I’ve got freckles, too. In Afrikaans (South Africa) they are called ‘Sproetjies’… Pronounced: sprooo (as in scooter) eeee (as in bee) kiss (as in kiss) = sproooeeeeeekiss = Sproetjies… and is also used as a term of endearment… Hey MJ another word to add to ‘Gleaming word a week’! Best wishes. Catherine x
If it was my cup, it would stand for “I love my joe” as in coffee!! 😀
Okay` so the cups are too cute and freckles are even cutier! I do have to admit I am partial beacuse I am blessed with some freckles myself- as are both my son and daughter too.
Smiles,
When I was little, my Dad teased me about my freckles, saying he’d have to use some sandpaper to get them off. Now I remember the little grin he had when he said that. I also remember that it didn’t work and the look of shock on his face seeing the abrasions on my little nose.
My father would call me a “freckle-faced strawberry”, wasn’t that a Kool Aid flavor at one time??? Anyways, didn’t appreciate my freckles as a girl as much as I do now!
🙂
