This reminds me of what it looks like in Spring mud season when the snow is gone and the streams run fast and deep. That barn is picture perfect. I hope it is red!

The facial markings on these miniature Jersey’s are beautiful. I love how the light hair around the eyes and nose are just the right touch to make them stand out.

I want a milk cow, just not the right time. Love fresh cultured butter, home made sour cream and kifer. Oh the joys of a furball that provides raw fresh milk! Ah dreaming.

That’s the sweetest baby cow! My favorite picture you’ve posted has to be her running through the chickens. I think she’s going to have to become a painting… soon!

This looks like a French painting of the rural countryside to me. It looks romantic but don’t you know it was so much hard work doing laundry!

Oh how I long for a warm spring day to hang out my wash! This wretchedly cold and snowy winter we have had ( and are still enduring) makes me miss it all the more. Our last snowstorm here the snow drifted up to the wash line in height. That’s 6 feet!

I’m reading The Grapes of Wrath, and that looks like Ma Joad in the background. Lovely!

I am waiting, so impatiently, for snow and ice and freezing temperatures too be gone! During the warmer weather my dryer is rarely used, and my clothesline is weighted down. Love spending the time out of doors doing chores the ‘older’ way: saves energy, provides exercise, and the clothes and linens smell soooo good!

This reminds me of one of the patterns my mom would have had in this box she kept with her stash of fabric. There were patterns for any and all needs in that box!
-
Love this display of patterns. Is this new pockets to store old patterns in?

These are seriously adorable! I love bib aprons.

Love old patterns and always check out boxes of fabric and trimmings at thrift store, flea markets, yard sales to see if there are any patterns hiding in them.

Old English china? Reminds me of what is needed to watch Downton Abby in style!

I used to collect teapots and this is a very pretty one. I ended up selling most of my collection but did keep a few very early ones. Now what you need is a quilted tea cozy- ooh, what a nice project to contemplate and do on a cold February day. Tea cozies were often of the same left over fabrics as used in quilts. The were really heavily quilted with thick cotton or wool batting to keep that precious tea hot.
And an old Bible dictionary , how heavenly.

Just purchased a felted tea cozy that is darling.

Somehow, 57 years later looking at this photo, I am remembering my Grandparents’ outhouse with a great deal of nostalgia. At 5 years old, it was novel and odd, but now at 62 it seems to stand for so much more. I wish there had been curtains just like in yours!

Brings back memories of growing up with one of these . . . we called it “Mrs. Murphy’s”. And, in the winter time . . . BRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

Winter flowers have their own special beauty in shades of brown. Hey, Mary Jane, I have been wondering what became of the the darling little store that was in Moscow and got moved back to your farm? Does it have a new purpose? For some reason, I just loved the quaint vintage building with it’s bright paint even though I never saw it in person. It seemed so perfect for a MJF store full of Farmgirl treasures!

Could be the foundation of the cutest little get away cabin. See that big window in front? Could be perfect for a rocking chair inside to sit and look out on!

I once had a biology class requirement to weekly measure the growth of tree buds from Winter to Spring. So quiet but every moving forward, the buds rewarded me with glorious leaves come early April!
Those spice containers are the best. Are they originals or vintage cans with vintage labels applied for effect? Either way, they make a very kitchen perfect display!
