Eennie, meennie, minnie, mo…pick a pumpkin and don’t let it go! Pumpkin Moonshines are getting ready. Who will have a face? I couldn’t wait so I carved mine last night and rubbed it well with cinnamon on the inside to make it smell good. It’s grinning out there on the front porch as we speak!

  2. “Bright Lights” chard, it doesn’t get any more beautiful than this veggie wise. So lovely I plant them in my flower beds.

  3. CJ Armstrong says:

Grew some of this in my garden this year! Yummy! It was also enjoyed by a bunny or two!

  1. Winnie Nielsen says:

Instant LOVE! You can’t have too many pumpkins in the fall. Up in New England, the homes have them lined up on porches and fences. There were even a few fields where some had not been picked yet. What is it about big bright orange orbs that is so engaging? They instantly make me think of Halloween faces, pumpkin recipes, and just decorations for the home. It ‘s a beautiful thing!!

Today’s Recipe: Pumpkin Spice Cookies

  1. Winnie Nielsen says:

Wow, these cookies look yummy. Cardamon is used in lots of Scandinavian recipes , but mixed with ginger, I bet it is nice and spicy. I like the idea of spicy without the usual cinnamon and clove for heat too. Pumpkin cream cheese frosting??? Divine. When Ashely bakes, you all must love being the taste kitchen! I bet that is a great perk for cookies fresh from the oven.

  2. Lois Schultz says:
