WEll, here in Montana you make “hay” while the sun shines. So lots of watering, weeding and keeping plants alive. The prettiest time of the year.

I would love to be able to win this so that I can have my daughter try it – she’s very fair and has very sensitive skin so she has a hard time finding products that do not irritate her skin. This might be a perfect solution for her. If not, I am outside a lot and use sunscreen daily, although I do have concerns regarding the ingredients of over the counter sunscreens.

  9. Cheryl says:

Lots of work that needs to be done in the garden! I burn so easy so this would be great to try!!

Working in the garden early when its cool.

  14. Our summer in the sun plans involve spending next weekend in the Wisconsin Dells celebrating family birthdays at a waterpark & exploring the rock formation known as Witches Gulch. Later this July we will be camping on a remote beach at Rock Island State Park in Door County, Wisconsin, followed by cherry picking on the way home. We will also be taking a few weekends stand up paddle-boarding and canoeing at our cabin in northern Wisconsin, near the bald eagles, beavers, otters, ruby-throated hummingbirds, dragonflies, fireflies, and bullfrogs. Even though we are in the Midwest, summers still get hot and sunny and we would appreciate having some safe sunscreen to protect our skin.

  15. cherie adams says:

Planning on going to Kauaii the garden island and swimming with the giant sea turtles

    Pool side!

  37. Sue Fischer says:

Summer plans are renovating some of the chicken coops…picking figs from my 20 foot fig tree (thank you to all my chickens and roosters for fertilizing the tree) and making delicious fig preserves. He has walking over every morning without fail to see me for 10 years!!

I am looking forward to a weekend with just my hubby which includes a concert by a renown choir and some paddle boating and just a lot of walking and talking and chilling for a change!

  40. Sue says:

My “summer-in-the-sun” plans largely involve avoiding the sun! I get up before I really want to, to go to the pool and get my yards in before the sun is boldly shining upon my speckled back! Next comes walking the dog, me in shades and a hat and sunscreen.
Looking at me, you would never guess that my browned, freckled skin has come in spite of my efforts to shade it!

  41. Edie says:

We try to stay out of the sun in the summer here on the Texas Gulf Coast. We have a family reunion in Arkansas to attend and not much else planned.

  42. Kathleen Holmes says:

My husband is launching three textbooks he authored for teaching guitar to students. We are making hay in the hot hours of the afternoons here in NoCal with the publishing business, and enjoying gardening and boating with friends and family while it’s cool enough to be out. We live near the Oroville Dam/Lake and are grateful for the repairs taking place to avert future flooding issues. I use sunscreen and skincare products daily. I enjoyed the Coola info in the Aug/Sept issue which arrived today.

  43. Anna Ellenberger says:

My fun in the sun is basically avoiding as much hot sun as possible. I prefer to be in the shade. I sunburn very easily so I use sunscreen and wear a hat when I am outdoors. If I were a flower I would probably be a hosta instead of a rose!

Working on my landscaping is my plan for this summer!

  48. Kathleen Kennedy says:

I will be picking raspberries that came up on their own, hanging my clothes out on the line and taking care of my small garden. I am 76 and have serious spine conditions and fibromylgia but I will not let it stop me from using my muscles because what you don’t use you lose. I think I have some American Indian blood in me because I get so brown and I know nothing of my grandfather’s background except he was born in the UP of Michigan and I have to constantly work on my skin.

  49. Pam Guerra says:

I love camping so we are going to Northern CA
Soaking up the sun, fishing & relaxing 😎

  50. Pamela Sue Budinger says:

Have three more weeks of the summer session at Chaffey Community College. My husband and I will celebrate my 63rd birthday on the 2nd of August. Afterwards we will be traveling up Hwy 395 (Eastern Sierras) to Bridgeport for a much needed rest. Before returning to the Fall Semester at Chaffey.
