  4. Ruth Turner says:

I love, LOVE your magazine and have been subscribing to it for several years! I grew up on a farm, raised by parents who also each grew up on a farm. In fact, my dad farmed family land that had been in our family since the 1760s! We were the last family members to farm it ourselves. We leased it when Daddy was no longer able to farm it. So, farming is running through our veins! We understand the work ethic, getting dirty more than clean, the pride in doing well in it, and what incredibly special memories we now have! Your magazine is a monthly reminder of how much I loved it, and I enjoy every issue so very much! Thank you for sharing about a lifestyle that has unfortunately become endangered. I pray it’ll be one of the catalysts to inspire other families to become a part of it!

I love all things about country living. I like to can some, sew some, plants and flowers. So when I saw your magazine offered by the publisher clearinghouse, I thought I would give it a try. It does have some advertising in it, but other magazines seem like they have an ad on every other page. It is a joy to read.

  28. Tina Savage says:

One of your magazines was left in a room by an ER patient in Madras Oregon where I was working as a travel nurse. On my break I got a chance to look through it that was all it took, love at first look. I now have a subscription and allow myself cover to cover time when it arrives.

  29. Linda Kuipers says:

I am reading the latest issue of your magazine and was totally fascinated by the article about Red Lipstick’s Revolutionary Roots. Susan B Anthony is a 4x removed cousin of mine and I try to save all articles pertaining to women fighting for equal rights. It is fun to read about different ways women used to come together as sisters in equality. That is the main focus of your magazine – bringing women together in a common cause – and it is much appreciated. Thank you for all the women you include in your magazine through stories and authors. the craft section is also fun to read. Thank you

Purchased first copy of your magazine off the shelf. Subscribed and have been subscribing since. Love it so much, I give a gift subscription to my daughter every year. My husband even likes to look. Once he took an issue about raising honey bees to church to share with guy that raises bees. He had told him about the article in conversation, and decided to take him the magazine. Great articles in every issue. Keep it up!

  36. Carmen Witmer says:

MaryJane, it’s been such a blessing to me to have your magazines in my life for the past few years. I’m 40 now, and ever since I was a little girl, I’ve known that my heart yearned for experiences and memories of the quality kind. Growing up in rural PA I watched every episode of Little House on the Prairie and felt that I was born in the wrong era. I’ve combed through shelf after shelf in many stores looking for the right country magazine to captivate me and bring a feeling of satisfaction but they all disappointed, until I found MaryJane’s Farm. I homeschool four wonderful children with such discipline that I forget to enjoy the simple moments I should embrace, but when I pull out an old issue of your magazine I am humbly reminded of the importance of each and every moment happening now, and even those that happened in the lives of the women of my childhood. I’m so thankful for this magazine that you’ve put together and the writers that contribute, who tell my story in such artistic and hilarious ways.

  37. Susan Pennala says:

A few months before my mother passed away, my husband and I happened to find our dream home in the country up for sale. Directly across the dirt road lives my mother’s sister, Auntie Judy. She’s been a wonderful mentor for me and a surrogate grandma for my young kids, especially in my mother’s absence. She shared an issue of MaryJane’s Farm with me about a year ago, and I loved it from the start! Now when I receive my own magazine in the mail, I wait till the house is quiet and the kids are asleep, and I savor every page.

  38. Jill Yeomans says:

I picked up your magazine 4 years ago, and fell in love. I am a So. Cal. girl, but raised in the rural foothills, with chickens, horses, goats and a giant vegetable garden. Even lived in a Teepee for 3 years, hauling water and using gas lamps. Too many fires have burned the ranch, but I still garden and and bake. I cherish Mary Jane’s Farm, and read it the moment I receive it. After a few months, and many reviews of the magazine, I pass it on to like-minded friends. Recycle and share, I’m a MJF girl.

Thank you for bringing me such joy.

  39. Joyce Parrish says:

  43. Cindy Manicke says:

I hv your magazine because I am basically a farm girl. I was always playing outside, riding horses..always attracted to families with lots of kids and animals. I was a city girl brought up in Eugene, Or. I loved camping. I met my husband to be in Bellevue, Wa. His folks had a apple orchard in Pateros, Wa. Alot of work, but we had fun snapping beans, I learned to can everything for my family. Half acre of garden. Every kind of fruit. We lived in Goldendale, Wa. We had a huge garden and I froze and canned everything. Really hot there, dry land wheat.

  44. Carolynn Neely says:

Hi, I actually found this magazine by accident, My husband is a retired police officer who worked at his cousins dairy farm since he was a kid. One day I went to Tractor Supply with him. Honestly I don’t remember what he was there for but I was bored, so I went looking for cards and magazines this was the first one I picked up I started looking through it standing in the aisle reading through I was fascinated and hooked. I would go there just to buy this magazine now I’m a subscriber and our youngest is a police officer, married with 2 babies. He just recently bought a farm about 20 minutes from here . His dad took him to “the farm” from the time he was 2 hes now 37, his wife is a nurse and he wants to raise his boys the way he was raised even though it wasnt our farm. He loved every minute . Now my husband goes to our sons “farm to be”. and to auctions buying equipment they’ll need. Its has come full circle and we couldn’t be happier for him. I’m so sorry I just told you about our whole life. Truth is I’m learning so much from your magazine and look forward to every issue. .

  48. Stephanie Ogle says:

I discovered your magazine several years ago and look forward to reading each issue. I also gift it to two other family members for Christmas presents. I was raised on a farm and many of the articles remind me of those days and past family members. Growing up on a farm teaches one many beneficial skills that aren’t always recognized until later in life. Of course, a big part of farm life is denim. Denim is simple, comfortable, durable, useful, decorative, and, of course, it may be repurposed. I was very excited to see the new bedding you are offering is denim. There are so many useful tips in your magazine, interesting stories, cool pictures, craft ideas, and delicious recipes. Thank you for producing such a beneficial magazine.
