    I am a beginning farm girl in Central Oregon. I love MJ’s Farm magazine. I value all of my fellow farm girls, their knowledge,creativity and willingness to share. I learn so much from everyone Thank you all. I have chickens, goats, pigs,cattle, vegetable and flower gardens. My goal is to be as self-sustaining as possible by growing and raising my own food supply. Bigger than that I desire to pass these healthy organic practices on to my 8 grandchildren who are 7 years and younger, all of whom I absolutely adore.

  5. I support organic agriculture buy buying only organic produce and foods.MY husband and I have gone vegetarian and have been so for about a year now. Putting organic fruits and vegetables is very important go both of us knowing what chemicals are in and on anything not organic. We started on non profit to help clean up our area of Pennsyavania and to educate the youth about the importance of a litter and rubbish free earth and go learn more about recycling and keeping things out of the landfills. We believe strongly in supporting local farmers who use organic measures.

    i support organic agriculture by raising our dairy goats organically to provide us with milk, cheese, and soap. We also tap the sugar maple trees on our property to boil down maple syrup. Supporting our local farmers and farmers markets is also important to us.

    Just started gardening last year. ..growing my own seedlings in the basement. Starting with seed and ending with your own canned spaghetti sauce to serve for Sunday dinner, has been such a rewarding experience! This year we added chickens…harvested and put on the table for Sunday dinner!

    I like to always do my best to support local farmers whenever I can. We have a local farmers market and I buy a lot fruits and vegetables there. As well as herbs and locally made products. I also buy locally grown produce from other local farmers as well as growing my own. Ithe gives me a sense of community to support our local farmers and businesses. I love it!

    I support organic agriculture by growing organic, raising organically fed chickens, ducks, and goats, and buying from local organic farmers. We make sure when we do have to buy from afar we buy trade-free organics. The earth is so bountiful! We spread the word as far as we can to educate others as well.

    I buy organic food when I can, supporting local farmers markets in the summer. I buy and make organic cleaning and cosmetic products as well, doing my best to avoid chemicals that seem to be in everything.
