Hello! I’m a big fan and love my 1973 Airstream more and more each time I open your magazine! My mom bought me your glamping book for Christmas and I just love it too! Keep it up, and thanks for the inspiration!

Here is my “glamping” photo, which is from the “summer home” that I created in my very own backyard. My tent, which was set up last year from May-October, proved to be my own little girl getaway, which I truly enjoyed. I plan on expanding on the idea this year and utilizing the antique clawfoot tub, which I purchased for just $50, as an outdoor spa too!Thank you for all of the wonderful ideas and inspirations—and the chance to win that fabulous glamping photo calendar!

Blessings! From Andrea.
Set it up, pull out your linens and lacy and frilly things, including dolling up your tent. Pull out all the stops, dazzle your neighbors, and make them stop by to talk about it. Dress up for dinner, and most of all, DO IT IN STYLE WITH YOUR BEST FRIEND … my daughter!

Good morning!!! PLEASE enter me into the running for the copy of the 2013 Glamping Calendar. I’m new to the group and would have bought one had I been able. 🙂 My idea of glamping is attached.  I am a member of Sisters on the Fly and seriously don’t know why I didn’t get into this sooner. So much fun; so many friendships, so much encouragement (and a few martinis).

Here is my sweet lil Serro Scotty (1963)
She has been my glamping companion for 5 years now, and at each glamping event, I dress her out different…. so she never looks quit the same. Sort of like changing one’s jewelry … I also have my little 1964 Fleet Craft that is called ‘Farmgirl on the Loose” … Finished on the inside, but looks butt ugly on the outside … for now … lol!

Hi MaryJane,
I don’t have any pictures of my glamper (she’s not refinished yet!), but here’s a photo of my decorating palette I’m busy putting together. Take care!
This was at Los Prietos Campground near Santa Barbara. Yes, there is a VW bus in there!

Vintage trailers ain’t just for camping anymore!
This is a wedding held in my backyard, where second to the bride, the trailer was the highlight of the evening!
He loves me, he loves me not, he loves me!

This is such a fun site. Paulette Van Tress, I have a 15′ 1965 Kit Companion named Thelma Lou! I have 3 trailers that I am loving back to life. A 1963 Aristorcat LoLiner 13′ I call Roxy, and an 8′ 1969 Fireball named Lucille. I love following the excursions of other vintage gals, and inspiring others to do more than dream … but LIVE the dream.

Congratulations, Jalet! Keep your eyes on your inbox for an e-mail from the farm.

  1. Terry Steinmetz says:

I loved all the pictures & now have even more DREAMS for my glamper!

  2. Winnie Nielsen says:

These photos are just the best! Farmgirls just know how to make glamping an art as well as a fun time. So creative, so festive, and so practical all rolled up into one. Amazing!

  3. Jean says:

You’re making me miss my airstream (2007-27FB international) something fierce. We moved across country (from TN to WA) and our Airstream is still at the kids’ farm 🙁

Trying to find a way to get it here that doesn’t break the bank.

  4. Mary Jane,

I can’t thank you enough for considering Thelma Lou and awarding her driver the calendar. I speak for her when I say:

“We are thrilled to be alongside or even in the running with such great vintage gals and delighted to win. Thank you from the bottom of the giggly spot you put in our vintage traveling hearts.” Thelma Lou ’65 Kit Companion and Jalet Farrell
